How to fix bent and creased doormat?

Modified on Tue, 13 Aug at 2:16 AM

Generally, all the mats are rolled in before shipment to avoid bent or creased situation. However, if your doormat is creased or bent somehow, please don't worry. Below are some suggestions to improve the situation:

  • Step 1: Fill the iron with water. Pre-heat to highest setting with steam on high.

  • Step 2: Place a white towel onto the mat, while applying pressure, iron directly over the towel. Iron the full area of the rug.

  • Step 3: For more stubborn creases and wrinkles, apply additional pressure, and hold the iron over those areas for up to 10 seconds along each section.

  • Step 4: Once all wrinkles and creases are removed, vacuum the rug to fluff up the pile if it is tufted.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. Use a WHITE TOWEL to avoid any dye transfer through the heat and steam process.

2. NEVER iron the rug without a towel in place.

3. For stubborn wrinkles, dampen the towel slightly. For hardwood floors, you are recommended not to place the rug and iron on the floor.
